The Challenge

VMK Builders & Co came to us with a dated website that was visually unappealing and difficult to navigate. 

The site had only a handful of pages, none of which clearly communicated what made the company different or why customers should choose them. There were no dedicated service area pages or case studies to showcase the quality and scope of their work. The site lacked strong calls-to-action or effective conversion points, making it hard to turn visitors into leads. 

From an SEO standpoint, the site was virtually invisible – unranked for almost all relevant keywords. Together, these issues limited both the company’s online visibility and its ability to convert interest into business.

What did Advantagy do

Our goal behind the new web presence was to check several important checkboxes with the new rollout:

  1. New Positioning. The previous site was fairly minimal so as we built out the new site we carefully crafted content for dozens of pages that were specifically optimized for VMK’s audience. We wanted a straightforward, honest and authentic tone that homeowners would appreciate and value in their contractor. 
  2. New Aesthetics. We pivoted from a dark website to one with much more white space that would instill openness and trust. Special attention was paid to integrate high quality imagery, textures, and crisp design elements that were still aligned to the customers brand and colors. 
  3. Search Performance. A great looking site is useless if there’s nobody to look at it. A large part of our effort went into planning the keyword strategy, creating localized elements, building links and integrating technical best practices to ensure shoppers on Google and even AI engines like ChatGPT would find VMK and see them as a great potential option. 
  4. Improved Conversions. Each page was treated like a landing page. We wanted a form and multiple points of conversion above the fold and throughout the page. Customers would find it easy to get in touch and the experience should be frictionless. 

These initiatives established a strong foundation for VMK’s online presence and positioned the brand for sustainable growth.
